We first chose two genres of film that we thought would make good trailers these genres being horror and crime. We then came up with various ideas about both and thought about the best way we could carry out our ideas convincingly. For crime we came up with some themes that we could create a crime trailer with such as robbery, gang violence etc. Crime would have been a good idea as it is a little easier than horror or comedy trailers where you set out with the goal being to scare the audience or make them laugh. Our initial   idea was of a victim being intervied by the police and they would have flashbacks of the incident. However we came across some problems with this as it could end up looking more like a section of the film rather than the trailer as well as this we do not have access to police props that would have made the trailer convincing for the audience. Therefore we decided that it would be best to do a horror trailer and we created another spider diagram for this. We thought of different themes for horror such as psychological horror. As well as some horror films that we could grasp some ideas from such as IT, The Lovely Bones and The Blair Witch Project. We still need to think of a plot for our trailer and come up with an initial idea of what it will be about.
